Bea is a dedicated and compassionate Music Therapist with extensive experience supporting individuals across clinical, educational, and community settings. Specialising in working with children, young people, and adults with complex mental health needs, developmental trauma, and attachment disorders, Bea employs a creative and person-centred approach to therapy.
Bea has worked in NHS Trusts, providing both one-to-one and group music therapy in forensic and psychiatric settings, using trauma-informed practices such as Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP), psychodynamic music therapy, Non-Violent Resistance (NVR), and Group Analytic Music Therapy (GAMT). Her work involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to care planning, specialist assessments, and therapeutic interventions tailored to each individual’s needs.
With a background in youth engagement and creative education, Bea has also worked within residential care, supporting young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs. Her experience includes facilitating alternative education programmes, music workshops, and performing arts-based interventions to help young people develop confidence, communication, and emotional regulation.
Passionate about the transformative power of music, Bea has worked with adults with learning disabilities, led open-group therapy in acute mental health wards, and developed well-being initiatives for NHS staff through reflective practice and improvisation. With a strong foundation in psychodynamic and humanistic approaches, she creates a safe and inclusive therapeutic space where individuals can explore their emotions, develop resilience, and experience growth through music.
